Taiwan's LED factories announced their first-quarter revenues. Both Jingdian and Lunda's first-quarter revenues were reduced by more than 10%. As the two companies will launch new Mini LED products in the second half of the year, they will boost their operational performance.
In March, Jingdian consolidated revenue of 1.776 billion yuan (NTD, the same below), a monthly increase of 18.7%, an annual decrease of 20.39%; cumulative first quarter consolidated revenue of 5.148 billion yuan, a quarterly decrease of 13.3%, an annual decrease of 10.23%. Ronda’s revenue in March was 921 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.49% and an annual decrease of 25.17%. The first quarter revenue was 2.648 billion yuan, an annual decrease of 15.69%.
Last year, Jingdian's operation was affected by the decline in the price of lighting and backlight products in the mainland, and the profit declined. The LED industry said that the new capacity of the mainland LED factory continued to open this year, and the price of backlight products did not stop falling, which put pressure on Taiwanese factories.
In recent years, Jingdian has gradually adjusted the proportion of mainland orders and transferred to the European and American markets. At present, lighting accounts for about 40% of the operation of crystal power, and backlights account for 20%. There is still room for adjustment in the future. Jingdian's operation rebounded this year, mainly focusing on the launch of new products, optimistic about the emergence of Mini LED related products in the second half.
Ronda has also made new breakthroughs in high-power dies. At present, the revenue of die products continues to rise, accounting for more than 10% of total revenue, and continues to introduce high-end die products for automotive, backlight and lighting. It is applied to the high-power die of the lamp, and has successfully penetrated into the supply chain of the mainland OEM and stabilized shipment.
Lighting applications focus on a full range of LED modules and high-power industrial applications, the former emphasizes one-stop design flexibility, the latter emphasizes high reliability; also introduces high-voltage COB series up to 270 volts, and emphasizes high-quality color performance Sole Solar White package series.
In addition, Ronda said that the main high-power LED package products for vehicles have been applied to headlights and daytime running lights.
