Zhou Qinghe said that at present, the high-power semiconductor industry in Western countries, such as Europe, America and Japan, is mature and leading, and its products are highly competitive. In its internal procurement, there is no need to set localization rates. Some developing countries have no products in this area and can only rely on imports.
“In China, the high-power semiconductor industry is in an overall development period. Compared with foreign companies, the market promotion and application of products is still not competitive. Some major project construction projects in some countries have focused on the use of IGBTs from foreign brands, resulting in the inability of autonomous IGBTs to reach the market. With promotion and application opportunities, it is difficult for the industry to grow and develop,†said Zhou Qinghe.
