(NYSE: VSH) today announced the launch of a new line of 400V and 450V 4-connector horn-type aluminum electrolytic capacitors, the 299 PHL-4TSI. The capacitor has a higher ripple current at 105 ° C ambient temperature and is available in 15 large form factors. Vishay BCcomponents 299 PHL-4TSI series capacitors are designed for power, industrial and household inverters to reduce component count and cost while improving mechanical stability and end product life.
Today's devices feature a cylindrical aluminum case with a decompression device insulated with a blue sleeve and a ripple current from 2.45A to 6.77A, allowing designers to use three-phase mains with fewer components. Application requirements. The 299 PHL-4TSI can operate at 105°C for up to 5000 hours and withstand high ripple currents, allowing designers to meet the requirements of three-phase mains with fewer components. .
These capacitors are connected to the PCB with a small portion that replaces the large set of screw connector devices that are connected by busbar clips. This can significantly reduce the cost of the structure and replace the manual installation with a welding process. Standard 2-connector horn capacitors with device sizes over 35mm x 50mm to 45mm x 100mm reduce the number of components required.
The 299 PHL-4TSI series devices are polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitors using non-solid electrolytes, making them ideal for smoothing, filtering and energy storage in pulsed power supplies.
