Is there a reason why Counter-Strike is not against plug-ins?

[Abstract] Valve said that their artificial intelligence technology is learning the difference between the cheater and the high-level players.

Eskimo players are mostly disgusted with cheating in games, and so are game companies. Valve recently said that they are developing an artificial intelligence technology to combat game cheating. According to reports, Valve's AI technology is currently learning the difference between cheaters and high-level players, and has begun to report suspicious cheaters.

Recently, players posted in the "Counter Strike: Global Offensive" subsection of the Reddit Forum analyzed why Valve did not launch a cheat against the use of spin plugs in games. The Valve official also participated in the discussion to explain the difficulty of handling game cheating.

"Any hard-coded spin plug-in test is equivalent to an arms race with plug-in developers. If they can find the algorithm you used to detect the plug-in, then the problem is back." The official account Valve_Anti-Cheat replied in this post To.

The so-called rotary plug-in is to allow the characters in the game to rotate at a very fast speed, which is equivalent to achieving a 360-degree vision. At the same time, the cheater is also hard to hit by the normal game player. If you match the automatic aiming plug, the cheater can basically hit the player in any direction.

Unfortunately, detecting these cheaters is not simple, because AI must evaluate each player. Taking into account up to 1 million matches per day in the game, the difficulty of detection has doubled again. In order to catch the cheater, Valve basically has to set up a data center to provide the necessary conditions for the operation of thousands of CPU cores.

Fortunately, the early systems of this system have already begun to deploy and operate. It monitors the game and can submit cases to Overwatch (Valve investigates abusive community groups, not Blizzard games). If the new AI starts to send a consistent and correct report, Overwatch can temporarily or permanently ban the cheater.

However, before the system is fully operational, the cheater will still affect the average player's gaming experience.
