RS Components Launches Raspberry Pi Weld Prototype Development Board for Engineers and Students

RS Compo nents (RS), a trading brand of Electrocompo nents plc Group (LSE: ECM), has introduced a 40-pin solder plate for the popular Raspberry Pi credit card size computer board.

The new RS Pro solder plate, exclusively supplied by RS, is an ideal tool for electronics engineers to develop prototypes based on the Raspberry Pi. It is also ideal for education and training for students and beginners.
Designed specifically for use with the Raspberry Pi, this solder plate is the same size as the Raspberry Pi and offers a total of 40 solder terminals that match the 40 pins on the Raspberry Pi. Connected to the Raspberry Pi's GPIO pin headers, this RS Pro board provides a flexible way to solder and desolder electronic components with easy-to-connect and disconnect solder connections, giving users and developers the flexibility Prototyping capabilities. The cost of a premium SRBP board is very low, which means it can be replaced cheaply.

Each hole in the paddle plate is aligned with the mounting hole in the raspberry pie and can be mounted under the Raspberry Pi using an additional mounting kit that includes four feet and eight screws. In addition, the central slot in the paddle plate allows the ribbon cable to pass through.

RS also offers a wide range of test and measurement equipment ideal for designing circuit boards and developing prototypes, including oscilloscopes and multimeters, as well as a selection of soldering stations and electrostatic discharge (ESD) control devices, all electronically working on the RS website.
