The finalization of the 19446盏 LED streetlight reconstruction project in Beibei District, Chongqing

The urban street reconstruction project of LED Street Light in Beibei District of Chongqing City was officially commissioned recently. The district has built and rebuilt 19,446 LED street lights, saving electricity and maintenance costs of 19.56 million yuan per year.

Since May 2011, the district has carried out renovation of LED street lights for some expressways and urban areas, with a total of 19,446 new and renovated street lamps. At present, the area has achieved full coverage of LED street lights.

In the past, most of the lighting of urban roads in this area used traditional incandescent lamps, mercury lamps, energy-saving lamps and high-pressure sodium lamps. Not only the lighting effect was not good, but also the service life was short, and the energy consumption was great. After changing the LED street light, a 160 watt LED street light can achieve the lighting effect of 400 watt sodium lamp, which can save about 60% energy consumption.

In addition, the LED street light can realize intelligent control through the background, that is, the street light automatically turns on when the weather is dark, and the lighting time is automatically shortened when the weather is fine, so as to reduce the invalid lighting time and realize the second energy saving.
