The movie publisher Fox has recently confirmed that Ridley Scott's upcoming movie giant Alien: The Compact will launch a virtual reality gaming experience. In the press release, the studio announced that the Alien: Compact VR experience will be released on the "mainstream VR platform", including PSVR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Although no definitive release date was provided, the film is scheduled to be released in May.

This VR experience was developed by the Fox Innovation Lab, directed by David Carrack, and produced by Ridley Scott himself. Alien: The Compact VR was described as “a fascinating journey into the alien universe. In the depths, the audience will discover the true meaning of terror and navigate in a terrible alien environment. Each decision made by the player in the story may indicate the difference between life and death."
Hopefully, this game will be more similar to the highly acclaimed survival horror game Alien: Isolation, rather than Fox’s recently released Martian VR experience, which was unveiled on November 26 last year.
