The output voltage of the three-terminal adjustable regulator is adjustable, the voltage regulation precision is high, and the output ripple is small. The general output voltage is 1.25~37V or -1.25~-37V continuously adjustable. More typical products are LM317 and LM337. Among them, LM317 is an adjustable positive voltage output regulator, LM337 is an adjustable negative voltage output regulator, its shape and pin configuration shown in Figure 1. The integrated voltage regulator has three terminals, namely a voltage input terminal Ui, a voltage output terminal Uo and an adjustment terminal ADJ. There is no common ground terminal, and the ground terminal often passes through the resistor to the ground.

For example, LM317L output voltage 1.2 ~ 37V, output current 0.1A; LM317H output voltage 1.2 ~ 37V, output current is 0.5A; LM317 output voltage 1.2 ~ 37Y, output current is 1.5A; LM196 output voltage 1.25 ~ 15V, output current 10A .
The LM337 is a negative voltage output. For example, LM337L output voltage -1.2 ~ -37V, output current is 0.1A; LM337M output voltage -1 ~ ~37V, output current is 0.5A; LM337 output voltage -1.2 ~ -37V, output current is 1.5A.
