AMD E Series APU Three New Product Disclosures Support Dynamic Acceleration

AMD E Series APU Three New Product Disclosure Support Dynamic Acceleration In addition to the successive release of bulldozers and Llano APUs, AMD will also update the low-power E-series APUs in the third quarter of this year, adding three different models, in particular the introduction of Turbo Core dynamic acceleration technology.

AMD E-series APU processors currently have two E-240 and E-350 models, which are single-core and dual-core, and will be replaced by E-300 and E-450 in the third quarter respectively. The new models are still manufactured on TSMC's 40nm process, Socket FT1 package interface, thermal design power consumption of 18W, are dual-core models, 1MB of L2 cache, integrated 80 stream processors.

E-300 original frequency is 1.3GHz, the graphics core is still called Radeon HD 6310, frequency 488MHz, supports single-channel DDR3-1066 memory. E-450 original frequency is 1.65GHz, graphics core named Radeon HD 6320, frequency 508/600MHz two levels and supports automatic switching, memory frequency also rose to DDR3-1333.

Both new products support Turbo Core dynamic acceleration technology, similar to the most high-end six-core Phenom II X4 1000T series, but the specific acceleration rate is unknown. Considering that they are ultra-low power products, they should not run too fast, at most about 2GHz.

What is even more interesting is the third new product. The "E2-3250", which was born to meet the low-end desktop market, is actually a low-power version derived from the Llano APU. It has two processor cores code-named Husky. The frequency is undecided. Whether it supports Turbo Core dynamic acceleration is also pending. The graphics core is named Radeon HD 6370. The number of stream processors is increased to 160, and the frequency is 443MHz. It supports dual-channel DDR3-1600. RAM.

E2-3250 will use GlobalFoundries 32nm process, Socket FM1 package interface, thermal design power 65W.

Obviously, the E2-3250 will be very attractive to entry-level desktop users, and is bound to face up with the new Pentium of the Sandy Bridge architecture.
