AIXTRON announced that its customer, Taiwan Yuyuan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., has placed new orders in the third quarter of 2012 to order multiple 69x2-inch CRIUS® II-L MOCVD production systems. It is reported that the system will be used for the production of gallium nitride based ultra high brightness (UHB) blue and white LEDs.
Ai Siqiang's local service team hinted at installing and commissioning these new systems in the fourth quarter of 2012. All systems will be delivered to the new plant with advanced equipment in the Pingzhen Industrial Zone in Taiwan before the second quarter of this year.
