BCCU helps MCU to create intelligent LED bulbs

  MCUs can help realize intelligent LED bulbs. LED lighting system companies rely on MCUs with built-in BCCU functions to significantly shorten the time course for developing intelligent high-power LED bulbs, and help end users achieve easy and precise dimming without flickering.

If humans want to survive forever, they must use limited energy resources more efficiently. About 20% of the world's electricity is consumed in lighting, so people want lighting systems to be more energy efficient, smarter and more aesthetically pleasing, while light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are energy efficient, dimmable and capable of high quality. The way to control color is becoming more and more popular. LEDs have two particularly attractive applications, namely smart street lighting and architectural lighting, both of which typically use high current and high brightness LEDs.

Achieving the key to control the switching of the LED switch

The outdoor LED bulb control unit includes a power supply and a driver, wherein important components of the standard power supply include a bridge rectifier, a power factor corrector (PFC), and a buck converter for a half-bridge resonant (LLC) resonant converter. (figure 1).
