The solution, called IrisXR, is designed for head-mounted devices and provides a high level of security for end users. FotoNaTIon claims that the system's error rate is only one in 10 million, and it has the ability to detect fraud. In addition, the company said that IrisXR is very low in memory and power, allowing OEMs to easily integrate into the device.

For providing a new biometric security solution, FotoNaTIon clearly has a high market growth for VR/AR/XR. In the announcement of the release of IrisXR, the company cited the IDC report. According to IDC's report, the XR market has an annual growth rate of 57.7% over the next five years. Skaaden said: "We believe that iris biometrics in the AR, VR and MR markets will open up new trends in the coming years."
